The S66L-5 is a versatile model designed to demonstrate its true potential in today’s tough fishing environments.
Featuring a broad-taper blank and a “h-shaped taper” at the tip, the rod concentrates the load point to make casting easier and more precise. It enables low-trajectory accuracy casts under overhangs or along cover — even with treble-hooked lures — and allows for both pinpoint short casts and highly accurate long-distance casts.

The soft-tipped “h-shaped taper” offers excellent sensitivity and finesse, automatically creating line slack during worming while detecting subtle bottom changes and small terrain variations with precision.
During lure manipulation, the “h-shaped tip” transmits motion accurately to the lure without dulling the action, providing high control not only for worms but also for operation-type hard baits.

When retrieving straight with reeling baits, the “h-shaped” tip eliminates the stiff winding feel typical of high-modulus rods, allowing the tip to dance lightly and retrieve with natural line slack. It avoids snags smoothly, and when a bite occurs, the tip flexes softly to give the fish a moment to turn before the belly-to-butt section automatically sets the hook securely.
