The C65MH-FR is a technical frogging rod designed for precise casting and operability in tight spaces — such as under overhangs or small areas — when fishing from rental boats or the bank.
Its extra-fast “h-shaped taper” concentrates casting load in one spot, allowing smooth, low-trajectory casts that shoot frogs deep into cover regardless of weight or casting angle.
This taper also supports a variety of actions, from quick, sharp twitches to slow, teasing movements.

The biggest feature of the “h-shaped taper” is its excellent feedback sensitivity, letting anglers feel subtle changes as the frog pushes or slips through water. Even when the frog is out of sight under an overhang, you can tell exactly how it’s moving.

Beyond frogs, the short length enhances handling and accuracy for pitching soft baits into cover. The taper also allows easy slack-line retrieves with wire baits, swim jigs, and swim baits, and even precise operation of 1oz-class jointed baits through small twitches.
