Created to fulfill the desire of “comfortably casting even lighter lures,” this is the first-ever Heartland rod equipped with an SMT (Super Metal Top).

By using smaller-diameter Torzite ring guides—even finer than AGS guides—on the tip section, the design compensates for the slightly heavier SMT tip, achieving a lighter overall balance. This enhances both visual and tactile sensitivity, allowing the SMT’s exceptional responsiveness to perform at its highest level.

Thanks to this refined balance, when casting a 1g jig head rig, the tip retains its rebound strength, transmitting energy linearly without loss. The result is faster tip swing speed, delivering an exhilaratingly crisp casting feel and enabling precise, delicate control of ultra-light rigs.
